LOCATION

  • Westshore Pet Clinic is in the heart of the beautiful Westhills area. The building is seen driving along Langford Parkway. Additionally, we are conveniently located beside the Eagle Ridge Arena. There is ample room for parking out front or alongside the building.

RECEPTION

  • Our friendly receptionists will welcome you when you arrive at our clinic. The space was designed with your pet(s) in mind. For example, our dog scale was built to be flush with the floor to eliminate the pressure to step up onto the scary scale.
    Clinical diets and over-the-counter products are displayed behind the front desk. If you don’t see a product or size you are looking for, just ask one of our staff members and they will be happy to help assist you.

  • Westshore Pet Clinic is has four spacious exam rooms. Each room is stocked with everything needed during an examination, not to mention comfortable table pads for your four-legged friends to stand on.

  • The treatment area provides staff with easy access to the necessary equipment needed to give your loved ones the best care.
    Our dental area is equipped with a top-of-the-line dental table as well as a dental x-ray machine so our staff can provide gold standard care for your pet’s teeth.

  • Our surgical suite has extensive monitoring equipment to ensure your pet is looked after during their time with us. Unquestionably, nothing is more important to us than your pet’s safety.

  • We have a high-definition x-ray machine to provide patients with high-quality x-rays. There is extra table padding to keep your pet(s) comfortable and safe while in their procedure.

WESTSHORE PET CLINIC’S TEAM

DR.MARTIN KLEIN, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) | Owner/ Operator

Dr. Martin Klein was born and raised on Vancouver Island. Becoming a veterinarian was a dream come true for him. He obtained his biology degree at the University of Victoria. Afterwards, he graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2012.
Dr. Klein practiced on the mainland for a couple of years, eventually moving with his family back to Vancouver Island. In 2014, he obtained a position of an associate veterinarian at Glanford Animal Hospital and its sister clinic, Thetis Heights Animal Hospital. After being part of a successful opening of Fernwood Vet Clinic is 2019, Dr. Klein decided to branch out on his own and open Westshore Pet Clinic.
Martin, his wife and their two sons enjoy living in the Langford community. When not working, they spend time at hockey rinks and exploring the Westcoast.

CALLIE, Veterinary Receptionist

Callie was born and raised in a small town in Manitoba. She realized her true passion was working with animals after working in a variety of other industries. After graduating the Veterinary Office Assistant program through Robertson College in 2017, Callie obtained a position at a small veterinary clinic in Stonewall, MB. In June 2019, Callie and her boyfriend decided to move to Vancouver Island. Upon moving to the Island, Callie was offered a receptionist position at VCA Canada Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital. Shortly after she was promoted to Client Care, where she remained until joining our team here.
Callie and her boyfriend live with their two cats, Pickles and Junior, as well as their eyelash crested gecko, Cinnamon. In their free time, they enjoy exploring local trails and soaking in the beauty of Vancouver Island.

  • We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

We offer:

  • Salary starting at $20 hourly,
  • Full- time at 40 hours per week,
  • Paid sick days (5 days per year, if not used, paid out as a bonus at the year end),
  • Paid 2 weeks vacation, 1 week unpaid,
  • PAID BIRTHDAY OFF,
  • Health benefits (premiums paid by employer),
  • Uniform (Figs) plus uniform allowance of $200,

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Receive medical history and obtain patients’ weight,
  • Help veterinarian with patients’ restrain,
  • Help with instrument cleaning and pack wrapping,
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments,
  • Welcome clients,
  • Assist client with food purchases,
  • Other administrative duties.
